I'm a Mrs.

So, it's been a while since I've had the time to update you all on my life and, although it was three weeks ago, the most exciting thing that has happened is still that I GOT MARRIED! This is still a little crazy to think about. Sometimes I look at Torren and go, huh, we are now legally bound to each other, that's sort of weird, but awesome of course :) I have a husband now, scary. When did we get so old? Also, I am changing my name, so don't be surprised to see a letter or e-mail show up from a Stanley, it's not a mistake. People keep asking me how married life is, but to be honest it's not all that different from how life was pre-tying the knot, except that we don't have to stress out about wedding details now.

The wedding went pretty much as planned, there were pictures and cake, dancing and drinking, etc. I will say that the most out of the ordinary moment of the evening was when my poor legally blind aunt set one of the bread baskets on fire. yeah... that's pretty typical to my life. But overall I think we threw a pretty good party!

In other news, Torren and I have returned to Washington and I've started my winter quarter. We seemed to really jump in to school this quarter, and I'm already feeling a little behind, but I think once I establish a schedule I'll be doing better and will be able to stay on top of things. Also, Jenny and Kevin came to visit us the second week of January, and that was a lot of fun. We are always open to visitors (hint hint) and we had a lot of fun, mostly just hanging out, playing Wii, and eating. They had a little trouble with their flight, can we say assume the crash position anyone? But overall, it was a pretty good time.

Sadly, to end this note, I'm afraid I must attach a rather upsetting in memoriam to my dear dog of nearly eleven years, Oreo. The lovable collie who attached herself to everyone's heart had to be put down on January 4, and I'll admit that I'm still quite sad about this. She was more then a dog, she was a dear friend and companion and will be dearly missed by everyone who ever entered my family's Cleveland home. Life won't be the same without her, but we will keep her memory alive in our hearts. She led a good life, and I guess that's all any of us can ask for

Ok, well that's all for now.
